All other products are delivered by our trucks from local rock quarries. These products are delivery only
We only have wood chips when an arborist supplies them to us. This depends on when they have finished a job and made the wood chips. We have no schedule for when these will be supplied or sold.
Yes you can! However, in order to keep our topsoil top quality, we have a few rules about what can be dumped.
Dumping Rules:

We sell our topsoil by the cubic yard, so the price of our topsoil varies depending on the quantity ordered and the delivery location.

Yes, all of our products, including our topsoil, are organic. Our products are made solely out of local organic material and wood matter with no pesticides, chemical fertilizer, or other chemicals added. Our aging process generates heat over time and kills invasive species that may have ended up in our yard waste pile.
We don't take painted or treated wood in our dump piles, and all non-wood plants, including those treated with chemicals, are dumped seperatley won't be factored into our products.

There is no minimum. We have big trucks and small trucks. If you need it delivered, we can bring it to you! To view delivery fees, click here.
Great question. This all depends on what you're looking for. Our topsoil and garden soil ratios of organic mulch to sand may be different than other places. Our topsoil is a 70/30 (Mulch/Sand) ratio, and our Garden Soil is a 50/50 (Mulch/ Sand) ratio.
If you are looking to plant some garden beds in your back yard and find the soil there is already dominantly sandy, you would be better served by a topsoil or planting soil with a higher mulch content, and a low sand content, if any.
We do make custom mixes if you are looking for a 60/40 ratio or 80/20 or something else! Please give us a few days notice when making a custom order so we can have your product ready for you on time.
Alternatively, feel free to purchase our mulch and sand separately to mix with whatever you've got at home!
Both rocks work great! They have a slightly different look, but they're both irregularly shaped and jagged.
Something to be aware of: basalt is a little more brittle than granite, and so wears away faster. However, because basalt is more brittle, it is also more compactable. The small breaks that happen during compaction make the basalt into almost puzzle pieces that lock together more effectively than granite. However, granite lasts longer.
We recommend the 3/4" Minus Basalt or the 3/4" Clean Granite rock for your driveway.

The Manufacture date can be found on the rim of the tank, stamped on in month/ year format. For example, if the tank was maufactured in August of 2023, it will say, 08/23.
We recommend using our Material Calculator as you decide how much material to purchase for your project.
A&L Topsoil sells material by the cubic yard, instead of weighing by ton, as most Topsoil yards do. Because we work by area, you will need to measure the area you wish to fill or cover with the desired product. Find the Length, Width, and Height of the area and plug it into the calculator.
For example, If you want to fill your trailer or truck bed, measure the same way (Length, Width, and Height) and plug these measurements into the calculator to find the yardage you will need to order.
As long as the Volume line on the calculator is set to Cubic Yards (cu yd), any other unit of measurement may be used to input the length, width, and height.
Contact Us at the office to put in your order by phone or email.
We may have a few questions about the road up to your house or project site, and will, of course, need the delivery address.
Yes! Feel free to come on down and we will fill up your truck bed, or if you would like, you can bring a bucket or other container and fill it up by self-serve.
Feel free to use the Contact Us page to send an email with your order.
We don't currently take online payments. However, you can notify the A&L Topsoil office of your upcoming order request or ask for delivery and work out a payment option with an office representative.
Tree chips come to us from an arborist, in the form of small wood coins. Arborist have a special grinder that make these coins, but it isn't only wood that goes through. Usually, the whole branch goes into the machine, so the resulting product is a mix of wooden coins and greenery.
Wood chips are best used as a very top layer covering. Because wood chips are not ground up and aged, they cannot offer any nutrients to plants.
A&L Topsoil sells its products in different unit measurement than most topsoil companies. We sell by the cubic yard instead of by the Ton, which is more common.
We recommend using our Material Calculator to determine how much material you need.
However, you can also use the following equation to convert tonnage into cubic yards:
(Tons) ÷ 1.4 = (Cubic Yards)
